DAMAC Hills 1 Area Guide
DAMAC Hills is a DAMAC Properties master community in Dubailand, launched in 2013 as Akoya by DAMAC and spanning over 42 million sq ft. It's built around the Trump International Golf Club Dubai, an 18-hole championship course, with the community organised into three broad zones — Trump International Golf Club, Akoya Drive, and Akoya Park — each containing several sub-communities of villas, townhouses, and apartments.
The golf course is the organising feature: villas and townhouses along and near the fairways carry a premium, while apartment clusters further out offer a more affordable way into the same gated, amenity-rich community. It's positioned as a family-oriented, resort-style suburb rather than a city-centre district.
Getting around
DAMAC Hills has no metro station within the community, and public transport options are limited — an RTA bus route (DH1) connects to Equiti Metro Station in Al Quoz, roughly 17 minutes away. A Red Line extension has been discussed for the area but isn't built yet, so this is currently a car-dependent community.
Living in DAMAC Hills 1
The Trump International Golf Club is the centrepiece, alongside extensive parks, schools, and retail built for a self-contained, family-oriented lifestyle — it's popular with families, professionals, and pet owners wanting a gated, resort-style suburb. The tradeoff for that scale and green space is distance from central Dubai and no metro access today, so a car is effectively required.
